Minor in Marketing
Three required courses provide a general introduction to organizations and their management, an overview of the practice of marketing in for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, and an analytically-oriented understanding of consumer behaviors in the marketplace. A wide choice of elective courses allows you to focus on your own specific interests in the field of marketing.
Courses
• MGT 205 Business Management Principles
o Prerequisite: ≥ 30 credit hours
• MKT 305 Principles of Marketing
o Prerequisite: ≥ 60 credit hours
• MKT 320 Consumer Behavior
o Prerequisite: MKT 305 with a C or better
or
• PSY 304 Consumer Psychology
o Prerequisite: PSY 100
• Four (4) courses chosen from any 300-level MKT course, SPB 305, or SPB 308; or other with department’s advance consent
o Prerequisite: all require C or better in MKT 305; others may apply–consult catalog
